Dr. Anoop Kumar Assumes Charge as Principal of DAV College, Jalandhar Amidst Sacred Havan and High Spirits
In a momentous transition for one of North India’s most venerable educational institutions, Dr. Anoop Kumar officially took charge as the Principal of DAV College, Jalandhar today. He takes the reins from Dr. Rajesh Kumar, who superannuated after a highly successful and eventful term of more than three years.
Dr. Anoop Kumar’s appointment is a historic “homecoming” that resonates deeply with the institution’s history. His association with DAV College, Jalandhar, began as a student, where he laid his academic foundation. He later dedicated over two decades to his alma mater as a teacher from 1993 to 2015.
His administrative leadership began in 2015 as Principal of Dayanand College, Ajmer, followed by a tenure at KRM DAV College, Nakodar. Currently, he also holds the distinguished national responsibility of National Coordinator (Colleges) for the DAV College Managing Committee (DAVCMC), New Delhi.
The day began on a spiritual note, as Dr. Kumar assumed his new role after seeking divine blessings through an auspicious Havan. The sacred chants and prayers set a solemn and positive tone for his leadership, emphasizing the Vedic values that the DAV movement stands for.
The ceremony was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries, including members of the Local Managing Committee and Principals from various local colleges who arrived to felicitate the new leader.
