Are there hostel facilities available for students ?

The college has two boys hostels and one girls hostel. The rooms are allotted on first come – first serve basis.

Is there any cafeteria available in campus ?

College has two cafeteria available. The main cafeteria has a number of food counters providing with a variety of food items to choose from! A well-organized “coupon” system is followed in the cafeteria in which a coupon is bought from the main counter and this coupon is used to get the desired food item.

Is there any parking nearby?

College has separate parking facility for staff, students and visitors. Roadside parking is not allowed.

Is there any Library available ?

College library came into existence in 1918 and is the store house of knowledge. Lajpat Rai Library is one of the richest, two storied, spacious, digital, automated and multimedia knowledge centre of this region. Our library is the only library in the region to provide web based OPAC.

Visitors

This tour is intended for prospective undergraduate graduate and postgraduate students during the admission days. All are welcome, but the visitors must show their valid identity card to obtain the visitors pass before entering the campus.

Discipline

The college is a temple of learning. The visitors during their visit must understand the ethics of this place and are requested to observe discipline during their visit. Anyone found creating nuisance will be immediately sent out of the campus.

Alumni

The college has a formal alumni association (DAVCJAA) which is managed by a central team at the college level with representatives from different Departments of the College. In the College there is a strong belief that the old students are the goodwill ambassadors of the College. The College is working to provide access to all the members of alumni to the infrastructure facilities, library, special labs and research work at DAVC Jalandhar. The distinguished alumni are always welcome and can come to the college on all working days between 9 AM to 4 PM.
