Music

Everyone has a relation with music. Music is used in a variety of contexts and thus has varying functions and varying importance for each of us. Music embraces, expresses and presents moods, thoughts and emotions relating to all aspects of what it is to be a human being. Music, infact is a source of self-awareness and interpersonal relations across time, place and culture.

Music as a subject plays an important role in adaptations of teaching as an inclusive school. Its teaching meets the needs of the students to express their aesthetic experiences, and thereby contribute to perception, empathy, expression and participation. Music as a subject embraces musical diversity and wide range of genres.

Recognising the importance of Music in our life, the Department of Music was established in 2006 and currently it is adding beauty and aesthetics to college curriculum.
