B. Sc examination with 50% marks and has studied the subject of post Graduation as an elective subject.

Course Outcome

CO 1- Post graduation in physics offers deep understanding of basic concepts of
various branches of physics such as, Classical Mechanics, Quantum
Mechanics, Electronics, Statistical Mechanics, Condensed Matter Physics,
Nuclear Physics, Particle Physics etc.
CO 2- Students gets enabled to apply various theoretical techniques to solve various
problems in the field of physics.
CO 3- This course develops practical skills among students which make them able
to design new experiments and help in analysis of the experimental findings.
CO 4- Prepare students for present day needs of academic institution, research
institutions and industries.

CO 5- students can appear in various competitive exams like GATE, UGC-CSIR
NET to pursue his/her career in research or in teaching.
CO 6- Students of physics can join research institutes like ISRO, DRDO BARC,
DAE etc.
CO 7- Some of other employment areas are, IT sector, power generation companies,
aviation industry, oil and natural gas industries, radiologist, automobile
industries etc.
