Eligibility

B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in the subject concerned
Or
B. Sc examination with 50% marks and has studied the subject of post Graduation as an elective subject.

Course Outcome

CO 1- Students will be able to Solve questions based on rates of different reactions.
CO 2- They will learn various polymerization techniques as well as various methods
to determine molecular weight.
CO 3- Students will be able to apply the principles of quantum mechanics to small
atoms and molecules.
CO 4- They will be able to identify thermodynamic properties of any system and
apply it for various systems.
CO 5- They will know the important applications of organometallic homogeneous
catalysis in the large scale and small scale production.
CO 6- To inculcate the ability to work effectively and safely in laboratory
environment.
CO 7- Students will know and choose an appropriate solvent for carrying out any
chemical reaction based on the principles of acids and bases.
CO 8- They will know the use of various oxidizing and reducing agents for
application in organic transformations of industrially and pharmaceutically
important organic compounds.
CO 9- They will be able to opt for research for production of different drugs and
other related fields.
CO 10- They understand the use of compounds and metal ions in treatment of deadly
diseases.
CO 11- Students can apply 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, IR and UVVis spectroscopy, studies for future reference.
CO 12- Students will learn the basic difference between photochemical and thermal
reactions and based on this, they will be able to solve different practical
problems.
CO 13- Students will be well equipped with the knowledge of various reactions and
their mechanisms and can apply in day to day applications.
CO 14- Concepts of green chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, supermolecular
chemistry, natural products will help them to engage in research.
