Eligibility

+2 with at least 40% Marks in aggregate with the concerned science group or equivalent examination.

Course Outcome

CO 1- Students are made aware of core concepts of Botany i.e. Plant Taxonomy,
Anatomy, Cytology & Genetics, Physiology, Reproductive Biology,
Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Ecology and Economic Botany
CO 2- Technique of Herbarium collection, Use of taxonomic keys with the aid of
computers, Double staining, Enzyme estimation, Plant tissue culture and
Karyotyping are practiced.
CO 3- Course focuses on proficiency of students in basic botany, zoology and
chemistry.
CO 4- This course helps students to prepare for various competitive exams like IAS,
IFS, M.Sc. entrance, UGC-NET, etc.
CO 5- Course imparts practical knowledge to encourage students to start small scale
business as entrepreneurship programs viz. Mushroom cultivation,
Vermicomposting, Essential oil based aromatic products, Plant specimen
collectors and distributors, Nursery vendors etc.
CO 6- Students can grab academic and scientist positions at government and private
institutes of national and international repute after pursing masters in
desirable subject
