DAV College Jalandhar established in 1918 in the sacred memory of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati to impart modern knowledge along with the Vedic traditions to the youth of contemporary India. The institution has grown into an academic giant in the last 95 years of its matchless service of growth and grooming of youth in this part of the country. Guided by the missionary zeal and visionary approach of its founding fathers, the college is constantly evolving, improving and updating itself to be one-up against the challenges of a swiftly changing world environment with globalization and advancements in the social, technological, economical and political landscapes. For this we at DAV Jalandhar are always taking the challenges, finding opportunities and devising ways to foster developments. We believe in adjusting the existing educational systems into a system that is universal and holistic, thus making every student a 'global' student.
D.A.V. College, Jalandhar at present is one of the largest academic centers on India imparting education in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Food Science & Technology and Media Studies. Besides a host of courses at undergraduate level, the college provides instructions in 14 disciplines at the postgraduate level.
Recently, DAV College Jalandhar has re-accredited with Grade ‘A’ with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) score of 3.76 on a scale ranging from 0 to 4 by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an autonomous institution of University Grants Commission (UGC). With the score of 3.76, DAV College gets highest score amongst affiliated co-educational colleges in India.
