Eligibility

Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty with 50% marks in aggregate or 45% marks in the subject concerned or equivalent examinations.

Course Outcome

CO 1- The Course helps the students to gain knowledge about Western
Political Thought. The study of Western Political Thought certainly
helps the students to build a strong foundation in the subject of Political
Science.
CO 2-Students become aware about nature and changing perspectives of
International Politics. The course helps the students to gain knowledge
of concepts like National Power, Balance of Power and Collective
Security. It enables the students to understand the composition and
working of the United Nations and various regional organizations.

CO 3-Students gain knowledge about Indian Constitution, its making, basic
principles and its importance. It enables the students to know about the
nature of Indian Federalism, Centre-State Relations, Fundamental
Rights, Fundamental Duties and Directive Principles of the State
Policy. Students also learn about the composition and working of
Parliament, Office of Prime Minister, Supreme Court, High Court and
state-level governmental setup.

CO 4-Students learn about the nature and scope of Public Administration.
The study of the organization and its principles form an important part
of their study. The study of Lok Pal and Lok Ayukta certainly helps
them to become enlightened and vigilant citizens.

CO 5-The course helps the students to understand the nature and scope of
Political Sociology. It enables them to gain knowledge about concepts
like Political Culture, Political Socialisation, modernization, Social
Stratification, Power, Authority and Legitimacy.

CO 6-It helps them to understand the meaning, scope and utility of Public
Administration. It also enables the students to study Organisation, its
principles, the concept of Good Governance, Role of Chief Executive,
Civil Services and the concept of Budge.

CO 7-The Course helps the students to understand the whole process of public
policy making. The study of role of various institutions like legislature,
executive, bureaucracy and judiciary certainly helps the students to
enhance their knowledge about the administration.

CO 8-Students gain knowledge about the role of economic factor in the
making of foreign policy. The study of Bretton Woods Perspective,
Dependency Theory, International Monetary Fund, World Bank helps
the students to better understand the role of economic factor in the
foreign relations in this age of Globalization.

CO 9-The Course helps the students to understand International Law,
Recognition of States and Governments, State Succession, State
Responsibility, Diplomatic Envoys, Law of Treaties, Law of Wars. The
study contributes greatly to enhance the knowledge and understanding
of the students about international law and practices.

CO 10- Students gain knowledge Indian Political Thought. The ancient,
medieval and modern Indian political thought certainly help the
students to better understand the Indian perspective about various
issues of state and administration.
