DBT-Sponsored Hands-On C++ Training at DAV College, Jalandhar
Under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar and the able guidance of Vice Principal & HoD Dr. S.K. Tuli, the Department of Mathematics, DAV College, Jalandhar, successfully conducted a Hands-on C++ Programming Training Session under the DBT Star College Scheme. The session featured Dr. Nisha Chaurasia, Assistant Professor at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.
Ms. Ranjita Guglani, President of Bansi Lal Mathematical Society, welcomed the gathering, while Dr. P.K. Sharma introduced the esteemed speaker. The event commenced with DAV Gaan, fostering unity and devotion. A green welcome and memento presentation followed, led by Officiating Principal Dr. S.K. Tuli and Dr. P.K. Sharma.
In his address, Dr. Tuli highlighted the significance of programming in modern education and expressed gratitude to DBT for awarding Star College status to the department. Dr. Chaurasia’s engaging session provided a deep understanding of C++ programming, covering its applications in software development, AI, and competitive programming.
A Prize Distribution Ceremony recognized student achievements in various DBT Star College Scheme competitions, including e-Day and Pi Day celebrations.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by DBT Coordinator Dr. Ashu Bahl. Faculty members Prof. Monish Arora, Prof. Sahil, and Prof. Jasmeen ensured seamless execution, contributing to the event’s success. The session proved to be an enriching experience, equipping students with essential programming skills and reinforcing the role of C++ in technology and innovation.
