On 24th March 2025, the Department of Biotechnology, DAV College Jalandhar, under the aegis of the DBT Star College Scheme, organized an insightful workshop featuring Dr. Sudhir Kumar Sharma, Founder Director, ENPARIS BIO PRIVATE LTD, India, as the distinguished resource person.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Principal), who appreciated the efforts of the Department and emphasized the growing importance of staying updated with current trends and opportunities in the rapidly evolving Life Sciences industry. A planter was presented to the guest speaker as a token of appreciation by Dr. Rajesh Kumar along with Dr. Renuka Malhotra (Head, Biotechnology), Dr. Sanjay Sharma (DBT Coordinator), and other faculty members.
Dr. Sharma shared his rich experiences and insights on career planning, networking, and lifelong learning. He spoke about the immense potential of biotechnology in health and medicine, focusing on real-life examples including rational drug discovery used in diabetes treatment and toxicology research. He also inspired students by narrating his entrepreneurial journey of establishing ENPARIS BIO.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students interacted directly with the expert and sought career guidance.
The event was graced by the presence of faculty members including Prof. Princy, Prof. Sakshi, and saw enthusiastic student participation. Dr. Renuka Malhotra expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, speaker, participants, and the entire department for making the event a grand success.
