Dr. Davinder Mand Honored with the Balraj Sahni Memorial Award.

Dr. Davinder Mand was honoured with the Balraj Sahni Award at the Pargati Kala Kender Landhra Jalandhar (Regd.) on March 10, 2024. The seventh Kranti Mela was organised at the Kranti Bhawan Phillaur in the fond memory of Master Makhan Kranti Ji. Dr. Davinder Mand, an associate professor in the PG Department of Punjabi as well as a renowned storyteller, was bestowed with the 30th Balraj Sahni Memorial Award. In the felicitation ceremony, Principal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, acknowledged Dr. Mand’s significant contributions to Punjabi storytelling through numerous books. The principal added that this award is a prestigious honour not only for Dr. Mand but also for the entire DAV family. He expressed optimism that Dr. Mand would continue to excel in the field of literature, further enhancing the reputation of the DAV institution.
