Fun filled event “FUN-FEST” was organized in Girls Hostel of DAV College Jalandhar.
Living in hostel can be amazing experience especially when there are dedicated staff to help students to celebrate all the festivals, organizing events and games to enjoy, which truly make a hostel feels like “Home away from Home “. This was exemplified during the most exciting event held at DAV Girls Hostel on February 29,2024…FUN-FEST 2024, a sports day filled with fun and unexpected surprises.
On this occasion principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar addressed the students and staff and said that the games and sports activities not only help in keeping our minds fresh but also gives many opportunities to learn teamwork, quick decision making, enhance competitive skills and learning new things in one’s life. He stressed up taking part in same activities along with academics for overall personality development of oneself. He conveyed his best wishes to Hostel Warden Mrs. Rumila Verma and assistant warden Renu Mahajan and whole organizing committee, who organized this great event and appreciated that this event is an annual feature of the hostel activities and it should be continue in future also. This is the moment of immense pride to say that almost all resident scholars participated in the game and made the event huge success. Beautiful warmup performance has been thrown by the organizing committee . All the guests showed their blessings by writing Good Luck wishes and revealing the bunch of balloons. In the event many interesting games were held like Tug-of-war, 3leg race, Duck walk , Khatron-ke-khiladi, caterpillar race, dande-ki-pagdandi, Blind-hit, Snowman pe Hallabol and many more . These games entertained all the guests and students and filled the whole atmosphere with joy and excitement.At the end, all winners of different games and organizing committee were rewarded. And the program was ended with Dance. Along with principal Dr. Rajesh kumar, Glaxy of esteemed faculty members have also graced the occasion.
