Under the guidance and motivation of Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar and the dynamic leadership of Head of the Department Dr. Nischay Bahl, the Faculty of Computer Science, DAV College, Jalandhar, completed the “Meet Your Mentor” event on January 31, 2024. The entire initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Namarta Kapoor, President of IT Forum, showcases her dedication to enhancing mentor-mentee relationships within the department. Prof. Monika Chopra, Dr. Rajeev Puri, Prof. Vishal Sharma, Prof. Ritika Sobti, Prof. Gagan Madaan, and Prof. Renu Bala put forth their collaborative efforts to build on this momentum to create an even more supportive and enriching academic environment.
The objectives of the Activity were to Facilitate meaningful interactions between mentors and mentees, foster a supportive environment for academic and personal development and strengthen the sense of community within the department.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address, setting a positive tone for the interactions. An engaging ice-breaking session helped participants connect on a personal level. Mentor-mentee pairing discussions were conducted, promoting open communication and understanding. A Q&A session allowed mentees to seek guidance and mentors to share insights. The event concluded with closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of ongoing mentorship.
Dr. Nischay Bahl’s energetic leadership played a pivotal role in the success of the program, ensuring smooth coordination and active participation from the faculty.
