DAV College Jalandhar celebrates 75th Republic Day with enthusiasm.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at DAV College Jalandhar. The chief guest, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar, unfurled the tricolor in the college premises. It was followed by salutes from NCC cadets and NSS volunteers during the march past.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar extended Republic Day wishes, emphasizing its significance as the day the Constitution of India came into force. He reflected on the nation’s journey from zero to eternity. During his speech, he inspired students to step out of their comfort zones for extraordinary achievements. He shared few anecdotes with the students which motivated them greatly. Dr. Dinesh Arora, Dean IQAC, explained the importance of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. He elaborated the meaning of keywords of the Preamble.
BSc non-medical student Namrata Aneja sang a patriotic song. Dr Balwinder Singh conducted the stage. At the end of the event, Prof Manish Khanna presented a vote of thanks. After the ceremony the Principal interacted with the children of the Robinhood army.
Sub Lt. Prof. Manoj Kumar was the overall coordinator of the event. Registrar Prof. Kunwar Deepak, LMC members Prof. Kunwar Rajiv and Dr. Naveen Sood, Prof Sonika, Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Manu Sood, Dr. Navjeet Sharma, Prof. Sharad Manocha, Prof. Renuka Malhotra, Prof. Meenakshi Mohan,NSS Coordinator Dr. Sahib Singh, CTO Prof. Rahul Sekhri, CTO Prof. Sunil Thakur, other teaching and non-teaching members of the staff, NSS volunteers and college students attended the event.
