‘National Photography Competition.’

DAV College Jalandhar secured the second position in the ‘National Photography Competition.’
Paras, a student of M.Sc. Chemistry Semester-I of DAV College, Jalandhar, clinched the second spot in the ‘National Photography (Photo Feature) Competition,’ organized by the School of Journalism and New Media Studies at Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. The competition, dedicated to ‘National Youth Day 2024,’ commemorates Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary since its inception in India in 1985. The theme focused on Indian youth and nation-building. Paras received a cash prize of Rs. 7,000 along with a certificate. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated Paras on this national-level achievement and expressed optimism about Paras’ potential for success in international events. The Principal also commended the efforts of the Dean EMA Department, Dr. Rajan Sharma and his team for providing college artists with various opportunities for positive energy channelization and contributing to their overall personality development. Dean EMA Dr. Rajan Sharma also congratulated Paras for this commendable feat. He said that talented students of DAV College Jalandhar will continue to bring laurels in the future.
