Principal, DAV College, Jalandhar, Dr. Rajesh Kumar was honoured on the occasion of Independence Day celebrated by District Administration. The award was presented by Shri Jai Kishan Singh Rodi, Deputy Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha. On this occasion, MP Sh. Sushil Kumar Rinku, MLA Sh. Raman Aora, ADGP Sh. A.S. Roy, Divisional Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, Deputy Commissioner Sh. Vishesh Sarangal and Commissioner of Police Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal were also present. Dr. Rajesh Kumar was honoured for his selfless and dedicated service in the field of higher education, his commendable efforts towards developing Eco sensitive society and working rigorously for social concerns. These steps were acknowledged and highly appreciated by District Administration. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar expressed his heartfelt thanks to the District Administration for recognising his services in the field of higher education and bestowing this honour. He also appreciated the DAV mentors especially Dr. Punam Suri, Padamshri Awardee, President DAVCMC, New Delhi and Sh. Shiv Raman Gaur, Director Higher Education, DAVCMC, New Delhi for their incredible guidance and encouragement. He said that DAV College Jalandhar always worked for holistic and all round development of students. The college is committed to impart modern knowledge along with the Vedic traditions to the youth of the contemporary India. He congratulated the teaching and non- teaching staff members and said that this all had been possible due to their continuous support and co-operation. He said that this award belongs to entire teaching & non-teaching staff of the college & not only to me.
