The Commerce Forum of Post Graduate Department of Commerce & Business Management organised a felicitation ceremony on August 28, 2023 to honour new students of Bcom-Sem1/BBA-Sem1 students for their impeccable achievements in the Class XII Board Examinations 2023. The event witnessed participation of all those students who scored 90% or more marks in their class XII. The brilliant students were honoured by the Chief Guest Sh. Vikas Chatrath (M.D., Cricket Toppers, Jalandhar) with cash prizes and momentoes.
The head of the department, Prof. Ashok Kapoor welcomed the chief Guest and the worthy Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar. He thanked the chief guest for gracing the event. The Principal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar lauded the efforts of the Commerce Forum for organising the event and congratulated the prize winners on their marvellous achievements in XII Board Exams, 2023.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Sh. Vikas Chatrath also congratulated the budding scholars and motivated them to keep working hard in their further studies. He advised the students to seriously look into their attitude and aptitude so as to reach an altitude. Sh. Chatrath stressed upon the need of giving practical industry/business exposure to the students by organising various internship programmes in liaison with industry and assured all possible support for this. He also announced a merit scholarship of Rs. 11,000 each to first three university position holders in any commerce class. The young scholars were thrilled upon being honoured and promised to work harder in their future studies.
Finally, Dr. Rajeev Puri, president Commerce Forum presented the vote of thanks by extending gratitude to the chief guest for his generosity and words of wisdom for the students.. He also thanked worthy principal sir, faculty members, commerce forum members for their support in organising the event. On this occasion, Dr. Manav Aggarwal, Prof. Amit Jain, Prof Nidhi Aggarwal, Prof. Rajwant Kaur, Prof. Komal Soni and other faculty members were present.
