Rakhi Making and Slogan Writing Competition

Rakhis sent by the girl students of DAV College graced the wrists of the soldiers protecting their country at the border.
“Ek Rakhi Ek Sandesh” Rakhi Making and Slogan Writing Competition was organized at DAV College. Rakhis made by students with the help of Student Advisory and Welfare Council were sent to the soldiers guarding the borders.
This Rakshabandhan, every brother should give the gift of education to his sisters and then see how high their sisters fly to success.

Rakhi making and slogan writing competition was organized by the Student Advisory and Welfare Council of DAV College on Raksha Bandhan for the soldiers posted on the borders of the country. On this occasion, Principal of the college Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dean SAWC Prof. Manish Khanna, Deputy Dean Komal Soni and the entire council team were present.
While Praising students for this, Principal Dr. Rajesh said that it is our duty to send the message of love to our army brothers through Rakhi so that they realize that we are with them. Further, Dr. Rajesh Kumar said, if every girl in the country sends Rakhi to those military brothers posted on the border who do not have any sister, then no soldier brother will feel that he does not have a sister, On the day of Raksha Bandhan celebration, their wrist will not be empty without Rakhi. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar, while explaining the importance of Rakshabandhan and Vedic self-study, said that the festival of Rakshabandhan increases the love between brother and sister. The brother promises to protect his sister and the sister prays for the brother’s long life.
Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar said it is our duty as a citizen to make our solider brothers realise that their country loves them and sending rakhi to them is the best way to showcase our emotions. He further said it is the occation of rakhi which makes every brother feel acknowledged and loved and if we can do that once in a year it will boost morale of our Indian army.
Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar added that this Rakshabandhan, every brother should give the gift of education to his sisters so that every sister can fulfill her dreams by getting educated and being a brother, it is the responsibility of every brother to take care of his sisters and see that he becomes able to fulfill her dreams. Principal added, just give them the wings of education and see how high they fly to success. This Rakshabandhan, the greatest gift you can give to your sister will be encouragement to dream big, climb the stairs of success with confidence, zeal and enthusiasm.
SAWC Dean Prof. Manish Khanna said this raksha bhandhan is fully dedicated to those people who spend day and night on the borders to protect our nation. Prof Khanna further added that hand made rakhis, handwritten messages will be sent through the NCC wing of the college to the military brothers who protect the country day and night by being deployed on the border and we all wish that the stories of bravery of all the military brothers should be known in full so that our country always remains great.
Students also tied rakhi to the Principal, teachers and the other staff of DAV College Jalandhar. In the end principal offered sweets to all the students and staff and praised about DAV Institution’s contribution in success. During this the students made excellent rakhis.
