Under the aegis of Bansilal Mathematical Society, DAV College, Jalandhar arranged for the live streaming of Aditya L1 mission of ISRO today on 2nd September 2023 in the seminar hall of the Computer department. The event started at around 11:30 a.m. as the launch was scheduled to be at 11:50 a.m. it was watched by almost 70 students from the college along with the faculty members Dr. S.K.Tuli (HOD, Mathematics), Dr. P.K. Sharma, Prof. Rajesh Parashar, Prof. Jasmeen Kaur. Prof. Shilpa and Prof. Gagan Madaan. The Society in-charge Dr Ashu Bahl and Prof. Sahil Nagpal welcomed the attendees in the event and briefed the audience about organising such an event.
The launch of Aditya-L1 by PSLV-C57 was accomplished successfully as per the scheduled time and
India’s first solar observatory has begun its journey to the destination of Sun-Earth L1 point. Dr S.K. Tuli congratulated the students on the successful launch of Aditya L1 Mission by ISRO and enlightened the students about the recent missions by ISRO including Chandrayan 3, Aditya L1 and upcoming Gaganyaan mission. He also highlighted the needs of such missions and emphasized students to think of being a part of such missions by having a consistent Scientific temper and working hard in the right direction.
Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated the Department for this innovative initiative and extended heartiest congratulations to Team ISRO for the success of the mission Aditya L1 launch.
Prof. Sahil Nagpal extended the formal vote of thanks to Principal Sir for his constant motivation and support. He also thanked Dr. Nischay Bahl (HoD, C.Sc.) for providing technical support to the Department of Mathematics.
