NCC Army Wing, DAV College, Jalandhar commemorated International Youth Day by organizing a debate competition on the topic: “Does Social Media have Positive or Negative Impact on Mental Health”.

The event was moderated by Prof. Sunil Thakur, CTO, NCC Army Wing. He highlighted the need of youth empowerment in the country for its true development. Dr. Sahib Singh also shared his thoughts on this occasion and motivated the students.

16 cadets of the wing participated in this debate competition. The cadets put forth their opinions very logically. Although all the students and cadets were able to win the audience with their presentations, but Ashima, Tushar and Navneet were amongst the winning students.

Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated the students on participating in the debate with great zeal. He extended thanks to the 2 Pb. Bn. NCC Jalandhar for their initiative and asked them to organize such programs in the future too. Dr. Varun Dev Vasishtha and Dr. Sumit played the role of judges.

Prof. Rahul Sekhri and Madam Dr. Gurjit Kaur were also present during the event.
