The students of B.Sc. (Med.) Sem -VI named Ms. Jahanvi and Ms. Radhika Sharma participated in one day seminar on World Environment Day (June 5, 2023) organized by ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute, Regional Station, Jalandhar. Both the students delivered the presentations related to the theme of World Environment Day, 2023 i.e. Beat Plastic Pollution. Ms. Jahanvi won the second prize during the event. Dr. Anil Sharma (Head, CPRS), Dr. Sugani Devi (Sr. Scientist, CPRS), Dr R. P. Kaur (Senior Scientist, CPRS) and other faculty members were present during the event. Dr. Shivani Verma, Assistant Professor, Deptt. of Botany, DAV College Jalandhar accompanied the students during the event. Dr. Komal Arora, (HOD, Botany) thanked Dr. Anil Sharma (Head, CPRS) and other staff members for their support. She also thanked Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Principal, DAV College) for encouraging such participations for better understanding of environment related issues. Such type of events, certainly prove fruitful to students for developing innovative thinking to protect our environment.
