All four teams have been decided for the semi-finals of DAV Cricket League-2023. In Group-2 match played yesterday, Musketeers defeated Bravos and made it to the semi-finals along with Panthers. Jaguars and Royals from Group-1 have also qualified for the semi-finals, which means now the stage is all set for the playoff matches of DAV Cricket League.
Panthers have registered a win over Rangers by 8 wickets in the match played yesterday. It has now become the topper of Group-2, as it has won all the matches played in the pool and secured the top position. Jaguars have also become the group leader with 6 points after winning all their three matches in Group 1.
These teams have reached the semi-finals:
Group-1: Jaguars, Royals
Group-2: Panthers, Musketeers.
What if it rains in the semi-finals?
A reserve day has been kept for both the semi-final matches. In such a situation, if it rains in any semi-final match, then the rest of the game will be played the next day. The first semi-final is between Panthers and Royals. If it rains in this match between the two teams, then the rest of the game will be played the next day, but it is necessary to play at least 6 overs in both innings. If 6 overs are not played in an innings due to rain, then the Panthers team will reach the final. Because Panthers have better run rate than Royals and Panthers’ performance was better than Royals in group stage.
Even if it rains in the second semi-final, it will be necessary to play at least 6 overs in both innings. If this does not happen due to rain, then the team Jaguars will reach the final. Because, Jaguars have a better run rate than Musketeers and Jaguares have done better than Musketeers in the group stage. In case of rain in the final match, the rest of the match will be held on the reserve day. If it rains on the reserve day as well, then the winner will be declared on the basis of better run rate of both the teams.
