๐…๐จ๐ฅ๐ค ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ๐จ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐›๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž. – ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐‘๐š๐ฃ๐ž๐ฌ๐ก ๐Š๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ซ
Under the dynamic direction of Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar and the able guidance of Dean E. M. A. Prof. Rajan Sharma, students of D.A.V. College, Jalandhar, participated in the ’37th All India Folk Arts Festival’ at Raipur-Rasoolpur, Jalandhar. In four categories (i.e. Kavishri, Wedding Song, Folk Song, and Mimicry). Students performed brilliantly in all categories. In the ‘Kavishri’, Manjot Kaur (MSc-III), Baljinder Kaur (BSc-II), and Simranpreet Kaur (BA-II) stood first. In the ‘Wedding Song’ category, Kalyani (B.Com.-II), Chahat Sharma (B.A.-II), Divyanshi (B.B.A.-II), Kashish (+2), Manjot Kaur (MSc-III), Baljinder Kaur (BSc-II), and Simranpreet Kaur (BA-II) got second place. Vinayak (B.A.Part-I) and Ezy (B.J.M.C.-II) bagged third place in the folk song category. Vishal (BA-II) won the third position in the mimicry category. The college principal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, congratulated the students and their parents for such an appreciable performance. He said that by participating in such folk art competitions, where the hidden talents of the students are brought out, such competitions also contribute significantly to the promotion of heritage. On a special note, he thanked Prof. Balwinder Nandra, Prof. Rajan Sharma, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Prof. Reena, and Prof. Toshin for preparing the student artists for the competition.
