STUDENTS POUR OUT THEIR MINDS AT EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

The Commerce Forum, at DAV College Jalandhar, is back to doing what it does best, that is preparing the youth brigade to be the icons of future. The aim was to transform the bubbling energy of students into their style statement and the occasion was Extempore Speech Competition on October 19, 2022. Spirited Enthusiasm was visible in all the participants.

The Principal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar was the chief-guest of the function. Being a visionary administrator, he spoke about his vision to make the students of today, the leaders of tomorrow, by providing them with the right kind of opportunities. On this occassion, Principal sir decorated the Student Members of Commerce Forum through the Badge Ceremony. The contest was judged by Madam Archana Oberoi from the Department of English, the Vice Principal of the Institution and Prof Ashok Kapoor, Head Commerce Department. Judges provided the contestants with the real life topics on the spot and the contestants showed their knowledge, skill and expression with great gusto.

Madam Archana marveled at the intelligence of the students and blessed them. Prof. Ashok Kapoor, Head of the Dept. of Commerce, presented the vote of thanks and said that he was proud of the skill and intelligence and hardwork of his young students. Vishakha bagged the Ist Prize, Ridhi Gupta came second, and Sumit Puri got the third prize. The winners and all the participants received certificates from the worthy Principal.

Dr. Manav Aggarwal and Prof Hina Arora, both as the event managers and Prof. Maneesh Arora, as the President, Commerce Forum were full of Praise for the students and expressed views that the future is bright for the brilliant students as well as for our beloved alma-mater. The function was made glorious by the gracious presence of Faculty Members Dr Rajeev Puri, Prof Amit Jain, Dr Rajwant, Dr Ekjot Kaur, Prof Isha Sehgal, Prof Komal Soni, Dr Komal Narang. The activity ended with refreshing smiles and renewed enthusiasm.
