NOVATO FIESTA – Freshers Party of Maths department

Bansi Lal Mathematical Society, Department of Mathematics, DAV College, Jalandhar organised a Fresher’s Party “NOVATO FIESTA” on 15.10.2022. The party was organised by the students of M.Sc. II to give a salutation to their juniors. Dr S.K. Tuli, Head, Department of Mathematics, Dr Seema, President, Bansi Lal Mathematical Society and all other faculty members of the department extended a warm welcome to the chief guest Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar.
 
The function began with DAV Anthem, lighting of lamp & an invocation to the Almighty. The students showed their talents through various performances. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar gave his blessings to the students and motivated them to work hard. He said mathematics is the mother of all sciences and acknowledged the importance of mathematics in real life.
 
Dr S.K. Tuli, HOD gave a brief introduction of the department and encouraged the students for academic excellence. He said that the department have a record of 29 times Gold Medal in last 53 years. Dr Seema, President, Bansi Lal Mathematical Society expressed her gratitude and told the students that they must carry the legacy of the department in academic as well as in other activities too.
 
Those who have won scholarship via Online Scholarship Test for M.Sc. Mathematics were also honoured. Muskan was declared as Miss Fresher and Dheeraj as Mr. Fresher, whereas Shalini and Simapreet were adjudged as Ist Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up. On this occasion Dr. P.K. Sharma, Prof. Anju Chabbra, Prof. Monish, Dr. Ashu Behl, Prof Rajesh Prasher, Prof. Sahil, Prof. Ranjeeta, Prof. Jasmeen and students were present.
