DAV College Jalandhar turns 103

103 years ago, great personalities had experienced the power of education, understood the importance of the education, and how education should be provided to everyone in the society, visualizing their dream, they 𝙨𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝘿𝘼𝙑 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚, 𝙅𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙝𝙖𝙧. On this day May 13, 1918 Pandit Mehar Chand laid the foundation of this great institute by starting intermediate classes with a view to flow the knowledge stream of higher education in the Doaba Region. The college was established in the sacred memory of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati to impart modern knowledge along with the Vedic traditions to the youth of contemporary India. We bow our head and salute all those dignitaries today. The institution has entered into the 104 th year and has established itself as an academic giant with matchless service of growth and grooming of youth in this part of the country. Guided by the missionary zeal and visionary approach of its founding fathers, the college is constantly evolving, improving and updating itself to be one-up against the challenges of a swiftly changing world environment with globalization and advancements in the social, technological, economic and political landscapes.It becomes imperative for us to acquire new ways of thinking and new concepts and perceiving reality. This paradigm shift towards a new World Order compels us to ‘innovate’. For this we at DAV Jalandhar are always taking the challenges, finding opportunities and devising changes to foster developments. We believe in adjusting the existing educational systems into a system that is universal and holistic, thus making every student a ‘global’ student.  DAV College Jalandhar is being administrated by Principal Dr. S.K. Arora one of the most experienced administrators of the DAV organization, a person with a mission, a teacher with a vision.
