Training and Placement Cell, DAV College Jalandhar successfully conducted the Extempore Competition on 11 July 2020 in six slots via Zoom app . Students from different streams participated with great fervor and enthusiasm.Listening,thinking,
organising and speaking skills of participants were put to test.The topics in Competition were associated with varied subjects like Feminism,Social Media,Impact of Covid19 on Economy,Self Confidence,Banking Frauds Procrastination,Nepotism,etc .
Each participant was given one minute to think over the topic and two minutes to deliver the speech. Medium of speech was English only.The manner with which students presented their thoughts was commendable and praiseworthy.These type of competitions will be held again in future to help students clear the PI and GD rounds easily. Total of 46 candidates registered for the event. Prof Manish Arora, Dean Competitive Cell, acted as judge for this event. He mentioned that It was indeed, a very tough decision for him to decide the winners. He had huge words of praise for all the candidates. Principal Dr S K Arora and Dean placements prof Manav Aggarwal congratulated all the winners and participants. E-certificates were issued to all the participants.
