Computer Science Department of D.A.V College, Jalandhar, organized a Tree Plantation Drive under I.T Forum 2019 on 21th Aug. 2018 in association with Kendriya Vidyalaya (Suranussi) in the college campus. The first day, Students of DAV college, Jalandhar and Kendriya Vidyalaya (Suranussi) planted near about 100 benefiting plants such as Azadirachta indica (Neem), Delonix Regia (Gulmohar), Bottle Brush (Cheel), and Tabernaemontana divaricata (Chandni).
On this occasion, explaining the importance of plants and its environmental value Dr. Nischay Bahl, Head of Computer Department and President of I.T Forum Dr. Lalit Goyal shared their thoughts saying “One of the best comforts we can give future generations is trees”. Through this, they meant “Don’t complain about heat but plant a tree” it is the invaluable gift which embodies the unity of nature and humans. It is not about action but to discover the sense of oneness with nature.
A new concept of Adopting a Tree by the students of DAV College Jalandhar has been initiated so that the planted trees gets their life. The following students of DAV College will act as Custodians of the planted trees:

Under the adroit guidance of Dr. S.K Arora, Principal D.A.V College, Jalandhar the faculty members of the Computer Science Department (Teaching/Non-Teaching) participated in the tree plantation drive.
The Faculty members and the students of K.V school visited DAV College Jalandhar for planting the trees. Students of KV School very enthusiastically planted the trees. The Faculty members of KV School were
