The growth of a student depends on all-round grooming and enriched academic & extracurricular activities. This is exemplified by the approach to education that D.A.V. College, Jalandhar upholds. D.A.V. maintained a long history of focusing not only on the academic parameters but also shaping their students in a holistic manner.

The institute aims to nurture the inbuilt talents of an individual and make them confident in their shoes to meet diverse challenges awaiting them. Following the same, PG Department of Computer Science, D.A.V. College, Jalandhar has completed a Series of “INDUCTION PROGRAM” for students of B.Sc.(CS)-I, B.Sc.(IT)-I, DCA, BCA-I, PGDCA, M.Sc.(CS)-I and M.Sc.(IT)-I classes.

Dr. Nischay Bahl, Associate Professor, Head Computer Science Department heartily welcomed all first year students and addressed them regarding rules, regulations, facilities and opportunities available in the department.

The motive of this induction series was to reduce the initial anxiety for all new students; to encourage them to participate in the academic and co-curricular activities and; to create an environment where students feel comfortable and encouraged to divulge their problems and needs for appropriate support. Dr. Bahl also discussed various environmental issues with students, particularly talking about water shortage problem he said “We humans are the creator of problems related to water and it is our combined responsibility to create solutions for it”.
