Workshop for improving “Spoken English and Confidence Building” – day4

The last day of the 4 day workshop at DAV college, jalandhar was all about creativity.
The honourable spokesperson made the students aware about “TOASTMASTERS MODEL” which is an international model for improving Spoken English and Communication Skills.
Where students were alloted the following roles:
•Toastmasters of the day
•Word maker
•Ah counter
•Timer keepers
•Grammarian
• Evaluators
• Table topic makers
Almost every student participated in the toastmasters meeting where students were assessed on their gestures, spoken english, modulation in their voice, pauses, ah-aa counts etc.
Students spoke upon some prepared topics and some extempore topics such as gratitude, an important lesson from the life etc.
A short break was given to the students.
The next session of the day started with the same zeal and passion.
Where students were made to evaluate their comates. Next round was “Live Talk Show”
where students were to depict a famous personality such as Baba Ramdev, Sania Mirza, Virat Kohli, Nawazuddin Siddiqui etc and had to spontaneously answer the question of the anchor depicted by Spokesperson Rahul Sharma and Students.
At last awards were given to few students which are as follows:
Most Attentive Student – Mehak
Most Curious Learner – Drishti
Most Active Learner – Bakshish
Most Confident Learner – Dipshi and Simerjeet kaur
Most Creative Learner – Ketan
Principal Dr. S K Arora and Prof Manav Aggarwal thanked Prof. Renu, Prof. Sonika, Prof. Manish Arora, Prof. Ritu, Prof. Naina, Prof. Shailja, Prof. Bhuvan Lamba who blessed the students with their presence.
He also thanked the students and said that its only because of the students that these kind of workshops are being made successful. The smile of satisfaction on the face of students was inevitable.
