N.C.C Wing Army wing of D.A.V College, Jalandhar has organised an interaction session for the Cadets of N.C.C at D.A.V College,Jalandhar. Chief Guest of this session was Brigadier IMS Parmar (Group Commander NCC Group Headquarters Jalandhar).
Other dignitaries who were present during the session were Lt.Col.D. S Patial (Administrative Office to Punjab N.C.C Jalandhar), Major S.K Tuli and Captain Sameer Sharma from N.C.C Air Wing of D.A.V College Jalandhar.
Principal Dr.S.K Arora welcomed all the dignitaries and the chief guest with the great respect. This session was organised to have a fruitful interaction with the New Principal Sir and N.C.C Cadets. In this session the cadets were imparted knowledge about various programs run by Group Headquarters of N.C.C to grow and develop their personality. It includes programs such as :
1) Personality Development Programme
2) English Speaking Courses
3) Quarterly ANO and Cadet felicitation meet where achievers in NCC and NCC officers will be felicitated.
During the session Brig. IMS Parmar assured the cadets that Excursion and Expedition will be organised for them by the NCC Group Headquarters in the near future. He motivated the cadets to donate their eyes upon death as in India 2.5 million people are suffering from Corneal blindness and only 30,000 take initiative to donate their eyes. So it is a need of the hour to think upon this serious issue and to take a pledge to donate eyes upon death.
He congratulated the officers of NCC army wing as one of their cadet Himanshu Bhalla is joining OTA Chennai as an officer cadet. Students were motivated to work hard to be achievers in their life and they also learnt many new things from the dignitaries present there.
Principal Dr.S.K Arora thanked the chief guest and all other dignitaries for sharing their words of knowledge with the NCC Cadets of D.A.V College,Jalandhar. He also motivated the cadets to be determined and hard working in their life.
Major S K Tuli (Air Wing) and Captain Sameer Sharma were also present during the session.
