DAV mesmerized once again with overall trophy at Communis-2017
Students of Journalism & Mass Communication department, DAV College bagged the overall trophy at “Communis-2017” media fest consecutively for the second year which was organized by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Doaba College, Jalandhar.
Leaving behind 20 colleges and 12 universities Davians emerged as the undefeated blazing young guns of journalistic ventures.
Proving their metal once again with power house abilities, students of Journalism & Mass Communication department, DAV Jalandhar scored their way into another big win.
This time the stakes were higher and the pressure was a mount but with a craft and the passion of a winner we managed to clinch the overall trophy Communis-2017
Winning first prize in Photography, Short audio story, Audio advertisement, Documentary, Report Writing, Short Movie, Walk the talk, Second in Stand-up comedy, Third in Personality Reflection, Consolation in Rjing and fun commentary DAV students consistently proved their high efficient technical abilities.
Principal Dr. S.K. Arora congratulated the students of Journalism & Mass Communication department for maintaining the culture of being the best in the line, saying “I feel students are giving so many welcome gifts to me after winning back to back overall trophies in various fests. I feel they have the capabilities and the craft of the winners and I wish to see more of this growing young department in this journalism stream.”
Mrs. Meenakshi Mohan HOD Journalism & Mass Communication said “I don’t need to say much as my students are doing all the talking with their efforts and hard work they are bringing us everything we expect from them, I want to congratulate all the teachers and every student of our department for making us so proud with these powerful wins.”
