The IT Forum – Department of Computer Science, DAV College Jalandhar organized a collage making competition on 06-September, 2016. The theme of the competition was “Road Safety”. The education of adolescents as future road users and drivers are of a particular concern for a nation. This event emphasized on road use as a lifelong learning process. We should aim to further reduce the number of persons affected in road accidents through a range of measures including better road safety education for young generation.
Total 22 students from graduate and post graduate classes participated in the competition. Dr. Kiranjeet Randhawa and Prof. Monica Chopra adjudged the event.
Jyoti from B.Sc. CS – III secured the first position.
Mintu Kumar from BCA – II and Manjot from PGDCA collectively secured second position.
Prabhjot from B.Sc. IT – I secured third position.
Principal Dr. B.B. Sharma asked the participants to strictly adhere to safety rules while driving. Prof. Nischay Bahl, Prof. Kawaljeet, Prof. Amit Sharma, Prof. Lalit Goyal, Prof. Vishal Sharma, Prof. Leekha Jindal, Prof. Nancy Verma and Prof. Ritika Malhotra were also present on the occasion. Prof. Rajeev Puri – President IT forum thanked the Principal, Staff members and all the participants for their diligent participation and applauded the winners.
