DAV College, Jalandhar, M.Sc. (Mathematics) students of semester 3 gave freshers party to the Juniors .
Vice Principal Prof. V K Sareen was the chief guest of the function, and was welcomed by the Head of the department Prof. Ajay Agrawal, Prof. SK Tuli, Dr Poonam Sharma and Dr. Samir Sharma.
Saraswati Vandana and lamp was ignited by all dignitaries alingan with President of Bansi Lal Mathematical Society Prof. Ashu Behl as well as she welcomed everyone there. Prof.Ajay Agarwal, Head of the department welcomed and motivated the students to work hard and perform their best in the upcoming examinations.
Students were addressed by Vice Principal Prof. VK Sareen. Prof. VK Sareen said, toppers of this college will be having a very bright future, the only thing needed is only dedication, hard work, and commitment. Prof Sareen told the students that they will achieve success and motivated them to reach heights. With this University Merit holders were also awarded.
At the starting, Surbhi performed a beautiful dance on Ganesh Vandana and uplifted the atmosphere of the auditorium. A group dance was also performed by Lovleen, Shalini and Rupinder which forced the audience to start moving their feet.
Arti and his group of students also performed a group dance which forced people sitting in the auditorium to dance. Bharti and his group presented a skit on “female feticide” which made everyone emotional for some moments, but a song by Pankaj “Pani Da Rang Vekh Ke” filled a new color in the environment. Arjun presented a Bollywood song in his melodious voice, Everyone was dancing on his song.Some of the students performed a group dance on “Ive Ive” song. Navedita won everyone’s heart with his dance. Finally it was the turn of Nidhi and its Group.As soon as this group started Bhangra, the full auditorium was filled with noise, each and every student was singing and dancing.
“Anvir” won the Mr. Fresher and ‘Parul’ was crowned Miss Fresher.
Prof. Ashu Bahl (President, Bansi Lal Mathematics Society) thanked everyone for make the program successful.
On the occasion, Prof. Ajay Agrawal, Prof. SK Tuli, Dr. PK Sharma, Prof Anju Chhabra, Prof. Munish, Dr. Samir Sharma, Prof. Seema, Prof. Rajesh Parashar as well as staff from the rest of the department was present there.
