PCCTU’s Protest against State Government

Punjab and Chandigarh Colleges Teacher Union tool out an outrageous rally at DAV College Jalandhar also organised a rally to protest against the State Government

The local unit of PCCTU at DAV College Jalandhar organised a rally today at 12 noon onwards to protest against the government, the rally was headed by local unit President Prof Sukhdev Singh Randhawa.
Prof Sukhdev Randhawa quoted in lieu of PCCTU, all the colleges from Punjab today stopped their daily routine work and protest seriously against the government.He said the government has been non serious towards the demands which have been put forth since so long . The issues include Pension, gratuity payment, Medical HRA Allowance, Stooping ban over the posts, to fill up the vacant posts with full Scales, Refresher and orientation courses issues, to bring the uncovered and un-aided staff under the security Act, taking back API, to provide additional funds for higher education so as to lessen the burden on students , all the issues are raised time and above but government has been really deaf and dumb towards it.
District Secretary Dr Sanjeev Dhawan quoted we have tried so many times to awaken the attention of Punjab government but now we will prepare an alternate strategy to make them hear our demands and consequently fulfill them.
Prof V K Sareen quoted Punjab government has been showing an indifferent behavior towards college teachers and are totally deaf towards the demands being raised from so long . The teachers are quiet outrageous because of the unfulfilled demands from past 5 years and we have no other option left but to bring out a rally publicly on the roads . The government has totally been indifferent against the education system and the educationists .
Prof Manu Sood Quoted against the government and appealed against the to ae back the decision of inflated fees and he condemned seriously the anti teaching policies of the government.
