The Punjab Literature Assembly under the aegis of Principal Dr B B Sharma, Chairman Dr Lakhbir Singh and President of the assembly Prof Rajan Sharma organised a special meeting to pay condolences and obesiences at the sudden demise of great novelist Prof Gurdayal Singh.
At the session Prof Lakhbir Singh talked about his professional, personal life and his great work in the field of literature and it’s development.
Prof Ashok Kumar Khurana quoted about his small personal meetings with the novelist.Prof Davinder Mand explained about his golden childhood memories with him and how he had been a source of his inspiration. His energy levels and his life principle of simple living and high thinking was appreciated by and remembered by him.
Prof Balwinder Nandra, Prof Kanwaljeet Singh, Prof Kamaldeep, Prof Gurcharan, Prof S K Midda, Prof Baljit, Prof Satinder, Prof Ghazal Preet and Prof Gurpreet were all present in the session.
In the end President Prof Rajan Sharma exclaimed his views regarding the demised soul and there was observed a 2 min silence to pay homage to the great novelist.
