NAAC Accreditation
On September 25th 2014, DAV College was Accredited as “Best Co-Educational Institution” in the country and got a CGPA of 3.76/4 , and the college crossed the mark of 7000+ in 2015.

APPOINTMENTS & RETIREMENTS
Faculty members of the college Dr Anoop Vats was chosen as Principal DAV College Ajmer and Dr Sanjeev Sharma was chosen as Principal DAV College Bathinda.
Prof Sanjeev Dhawan elected as Staff Secretary and Prof Manish khanna elected as Joint Staff Secretary for the session 2015-16.
Prof P K Kapoor, Prof P K Sharma and Dr Ravi Manuja were retired as Vice Principals of the College.
Prof Parveen Sharma, Prof Sanjiv Sharma and Prof K L Saini were retired after giving glorious services to the institution.
Prof Vijay Gupta and Prof V K Sareen are appointed as new Vice Principals of the college.
EXCLUSIVE EVENTS
New block was added up to the college infrastructure “INDRA NARAYAN SARASWATI BHAGAT BHAWAN”, in October. It is a multistorey building with 12 big ventilated rooms and sophisticated food technology and botanical research labs and a big seminar hall.
Alumni Meet 2015
DAV college manifested true fondness and altruism by organising AN ALUMNI REUNITE -2015 , for the old students till 2011 batch. A big function where IAS Shri Sarvesh Kaushal (Chief Secretary, Punjab) was the honourable chief guest, was observed where students from all over the country and oversees made their way back to their old college to rejuvenate their reminiscences and meet their old pals and gurus .

DAV college was charmed with the distinguished presence of His Excellency -US Ambassador to India Mr Richard Rahul Verma who paid his grand visit exclusively for the “Annual Convocation Ceremony”, who distributed degress to 919 graduate and post graduate students . DAV received a letter of appreciation and Thanksgiving from US Ambassador to India Mr Richard Rahul Verma , for the warmth extended to him by the entire DAV family .

DAV college experienced great sense of gratification when one of its girl student – DIVYA SAINI was crowned as “RUBARU MISS INDIA ELITE”-2015 and was selected in top 25 girls all over the nation and now she will represent INDIA in Supermodel International 2016. Indeed her hard work and success story is a true source for other Davians’

BOOK EXHIBITION
National Book Trust reaches DAV College. NBT organized a book exhibition in which the teachers and students took part with great deal of zeal and enthusiasm and bought the books of their choice. The inauguration of this exhibition was done by Principal Dr B B Sharma by purchasing Subhash Kashyap’s book “OUR PARLIAMENT”

Under the scheme of INSURANCE , all the students and their guardians are being benefited from MEDICAL HEALTH INSURANCE in event of death or injury.
SCHOLARSHIPS :
Under the SHIV CHAND GUPTA SCHOLARSHIP and various other schemes, monetary scholarships is being distributed to the meritorious, brilliant and needy or poor students, so as to enhance their ACADEMIC CREDIBILITY.
BOOK BANK:
The library committee distributed books and journals to all the graduation and post graduation students, to help the needy and meritorious students
SPORTS
Physical education department organized ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION where Sahil Sachdeva was given “PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD”
DAV’S 8 Hockey players selected for Junior Asia Cup training camp at Shimla, and 4 players form a part of the Indian National Hockey Team.
DAV became Inter College Chess, Badminton, Hockey, Fencing and Best Physique champions.
DAV became runners up in Squash racket, American football, basketball, lawn tennis, Malkhamb & wrestling inter college championship.
DAV stood third in inter college Boxing, table tennis, atheletics and shooting pistons champions.
DAV became runners up in RED BULL CRICKET NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
ZONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL –SECOND RUNNERS-UP
DAV College Jalandhar outshined in the Zonal Youth Festival held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The college bagged second runners up trophy. College participated in 34 items and secured prizes in 17 items. They stood first in Classical Dance, Table, Flute, Instrumental Percussion And Instrumental Non Percussion .
