DAV College Jalandhar organised a seminar in commemoration of the Golden jubilee celebration of 1965 war (victory over Pakistan) highlighting the gallant and heroic acts of valour and sacrifice by Indian Army during the 1965 operations , Team Vajra showcased an impressive seminar on October 28,2015 ,with the elegant pictorial display of 1965 indo Pak war .
The proceedings were initiated HQ Vajra corps ,who bought to attention of audience the orchestration of forces bolstered by the nations political will which had aimed for a decisive military victory .
The war veterans amongst the eminent panelists then took centre stage and enthralled the audience with their real life account of the battles they had fought .
So emphatic was their delivery onstage that the audience was rapt in silence throughout the talk and appreciated them each time with thunderous applause .
Dr Kamal Khinger , a profilic speaker on defence and strategic studies then dwelt on the strategic environment and events leading to the war in 1965.
Brigadier NS Sandhu and colonel manmohan Singh related their personal experiences of the war . Post the presentation by the distinguished panelists , Vajra Corps organised an excellent and inspiring display of war memorial of 1965 for easier comprehension of the students and staff present .
In the seminar General JDS Bedi, And Major General Manjeet Singh – alumni Dav college jalandhar , and colonnel AS Sekhon were also present .
The seminar also enthralled the onlookers with an immaculate military pipe band playing martial tunes which instilled a sense of unmatched pride amongst the student fraternity and was very well recieved by one and we’ll .

Coordinator of this great event Prof A K Trivedi quoted ” I bow my head to the great people who fought for their mother land , the supremracy of our army is a great source of inspiration for us , who have always protected our nation’s unity by killing all the obstacles”.
Many students were present to feel the occasion along with Registrar Prof V K Sareen, Deputy registrar Dr Kiranjeet Randhawa, Staff secretary Dr Sanjeev Dhawan , Joint Staff Secretary Prof Manish Khanna, Dr Raj Kumar, Prof Naveen Saini, Prof Naveen Sood, Prof Manoj Kumar ,Prof S K Tuli, Prof Anu Gupta were present to grace the occasion.
