DAV College celebrated NSS day.
The NSS unit of DAV College Jalandhar celebrated the NSS day .The chief guest on the occasion was captain I.S. Dhami (Chief Assistance Officer of youth services department).
The chief guest was given a warm floral welcome by Principal Dr B B Sharma.
Principal Dr B B Sharma on the great occasion of NSS day quoted “social services are an inbound and integral component of our education and value system , and we should strive hard to stay connected to the society and should contribute at our best to the welfare of the society by either indulging in blood donations,afforestation , contribute to environmental cleaning and involve ourselves in all kinds of social programmes and campaigns.
Captain Dhami (revered chief guest) addressed every one on the occasion and told about the significance of the occasion and threw light regarding the importance, implications and goals of the NSS.
Programme officer Prof SK Middha informed the audience regarding the working of the NSS for the preceding year, and further he forwarded a vote of thanks to everyone present.
Mandeep and Prof Rajan sang various thematic songs on environment and society.
Prof Rajan, Prof Somranjeet, Prof Kanwaljeet, Prof Sanjay were also present to grace the NSS occasion.
