The history department of DAV college Jalandhar welcomed their semester 1 fresher’s by quoting “heartiest welcome”.
The semester 3 students of MA history organised a welcome party “hearty welcome” for the semester 1 fresher’s.
Dr B B Sharma (chief guest ) was given a floral welcome by Dr Rakesh Kumar (HOD), Dr Kiranjeet Randhawa and Prof Vipin Jhanji.
Dr Rakesh Kumar(HOD) welcomed the first year freshers and inspired and motivated them to achieve good scores in the upcoming exams.
Principal Dr B B Sharma while talking to the students he quoted ” HIstory department is Dav;s pride and it provides a bright and illuminated future to the students , you just need to stay dedicated , concentrated , hardworking, confident and passionate for your targets “. He inspired the students to reach the top by carving and shaping their inner abilities and capabilities. He also honoured the university rank holders.
The event started with a dance performance by Deeksha on the song”kanak da rang” .
Diljeet gave a solo dance performance.
Arshdeep,Gaurav,Mohit,Gurpreet,Shalu presented a theme based play on eve teasing named “KOSHISH”.
Auditorium went crazy on the group dance presented by Rajveer, Mandeep, Pooja,Sunita.
Sukhdeep and Rajveer danced on “goreya nu daffa kro” and made the environment crazy and jolly.
Gaurav was tagged as “MR FRESHER” and Diljeet as “miss fresher”.
On the occasion Dr Kiranjeet Randhawa, Prof Vipin Jhanji,Prof Asha Verma,Prof Manoj Kumar,Prof Protima and Prof Neetu were also present.
