A DBT sponsored International workshop on ‘Food Safety’ was organized by department of Food Science and Technology, DAV College Jalandhar.
Mr. Paramvir Deol, Managing Director of Regal Technical and Training Solution Ltd, United Kingdom and Anjali Dhanjal were the guest speakers.
Principal of the college, Dr. BB Sharma asked the students to follow the footsteps of seniors of seniors like Paramvir Deol and contribute to the development of the Alma Mater. Prof. Bhartendu Singla, Head of the department, asked the students to be aware of the food safety laws to provide wholesome and safe food to the customers.
Mr. Paramvir Deol gave an extensive talk on food safety laws and management systems like HACCP, TACCP.
Ms. Anjali Dhanjal gave an extensive talk on latest trends in food packaging and labeling requirements. Prof. Anu Gupta thanked the audience. Vice Principal Prof. P.K. Kapur, Prof. Pankaj Gupta, Prof. Jaswinder Singh Randhawa, Prof. Raj, Prof. Jyotsna, Prof. Komal and students of BFST were also present. On the occasion, Mr. Paramvir Deol was honoured by Prof. Bhartendu Singla, Prof. Anu Gupta, Prof. Pankaj Gupta and other staff members.
