The second day of Science Exhibition and Quiz contest at DAV College Jalandhar came to end with the smiles on the faces of Prize Winners. The exhibition started at 9.00 am with the registration of participants for quiz contest for Senior Category (students of undergraduate classes). Five teams were shortlisted from among 22 teams after written screening test.
The participants were enthusiastic in displaying their models and posters. The evaluation of the models and posters was done by three judges: Dr. Harleen Dahia (NIT Jalandhar), Mr Meena Sethi (Govt. College Kapurthala) and Prof. Deepshikha (HMV, Jalandhar).
The prizes were given to the winners by the chief guest Dr. Neelam Gulati Sharma, Director, Popularization of Sciences, Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh. She stressed the needs for learning of science through practicals. She elaborated on the different schemes of the government for popularization of sciences. She told about the contribution of the council in setting up Science City on Jalandhar Kapurthala Highway.
