WIPRO second largest company in IT Services after IBM in India conducted campus placement drive for final year students in DAV College, Jalandhar, in which about 200 students of B.COM, BBA, BCA, BSC COMP. Sc., BSC and BA participated. Mr.Vijay Magotra (Manager) talent acquisition Team manager WIPRO BPO conducted 4 rounds in the recruitment Process. He made power point presentation about WIPRO and presented the job scenario in IT sector and revenue of 540million and strength of 28,500 employees in Wipro. He explained how a person can join as trainee associate in the company. Thereafter groups were created for group discussion, after this 19 candidates were shortlisted. Then telephonic rounds lasting about 4 hours for shortlisted candidates were done. Finally offer letters to 7 students (including 2 for training) were issued. Dr.BB Sharma, principal of the college & Prof. V. K Sareen, Dean Placement, congratulated the selected students and explained it is a regular feature of the college to invite reputed companies for placement. Aakansha Sareen, Shabad Shangari, Himanshu Mehta, Palak Mahajan, Sanchita, Soarabh sidane were selected by company. Prof.Manav Aggarwal, Vishal Sharma, Sandeep Marwaha , Siddarth Sharma ,Nisha khanna and Richa kohli were also present to bless the students.
