- Dr.V.K.Tewari, Dr.S.K.Arora and Dr.N.K.Neb obtained their Ph.D degrees during their service at this college and the Department is proud of their contribution to their respective fields of research.

- With an excellent team of devoted and painstaking teachers, which always words in a spirit of single-sided co-operation, the department (under the chairmanship of hopes to sender in the years to come useful service to this premier institution whose honor and prestige is so dear is the heart of each of its members.

- ‘Dynamism’ is the key-word for the department of English. New courses offered by the University have been taken up as a welcome change. The subject of communication skills in English’ has been introduced in professional courses like BCA and B.Sc.IT. Next year, it is to be introduced in B.Sc. Biotechnology. To hope with the needs of the students a language label was established a few years back and now it is being enlarged and improved upon.

- Post-graduation in English is virtually an ‘open sesame’ for student who wish to launch themselves in the field of electronic & print media, Advertising, Teaching, HRD, Civil Services, Theatre, Research, Creative Writing etc. The post-graduate Deptt. of English is manned by seasoned faculty members most of whom possess MPhil/Ph.D. degrees and in some case both the degrees.
