Co-Curricular Activites:

1. National Seminar on ‘Converting Industrial Business into E-Business’ was organized in Jan 17th to 19th 2006. Participation of Renowed Professionals, Industrialist Managers Academicians and students were there.
2. Madhu Khullar Annual Cricket tournament was organized from Sept 4 to Oct 19, 2005.
3. Welcome function for M.Com I students was organized on Nov 12, 2005.
4. Inter Class Quiz Competition: It was organized on 26-27 October 2005, to improve the attitude of the students towards subject awareness and business.
5. Inter class advertisement show organized with motto ‘Emerging skills’ creativity on Nov 25, 2005.
6. Educational trip to Anandpur Sahib, Naina Devi and Bhakra Nangal was organized on Feb 18, 2006.
7. Educational trip to KCF Kapurthala was organized on second week of Nov, 2005. Prof. Arun Mehra escorted eight students to Singapore and Malaysia (Dec 25, 2005 to Feb 5, 2006)
8. Extension Lecture on Human Rights to on 22nd October, 2005 delivered by Mr. Manish Sehgal, General Secretary, and President Human Rights Commission.

Participation of Staff members in Seminar / Workshops/ GOC

1. Prof Ashok Kapoor presented a paper on “A comparative study of few Public Sector, Private Sector and Foreign Banks at a National Seminar organized by Deptt. of Economics, DAV College, Jalandhar on 21-22, November, submitted a paper on ‘Corporate Governance’ at National Seminar on Nov 4,5 2005(Mata Gujri Vollege).
2. Prof Rajeev Puri delivered an extension lecture on ‘VAT’ at Guru National College for Women, Nakodar. Participated in two day conference organized by Institute of Cost and Works accountants of India on Jan 7, 8, 2006.
3. Prof Rajeev Puri participated in Refersher Course in Commerce and Management at GNDU, Amritsar.
4. National Seminar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ was organized in Jan 29,30 -2006. It was sponsored by the HRD ministry, Govt. of India, New Delhi. It was attended by all the teachers, eminent economist, administrators, students, renowned professionals, Industrialist, Managers etc.

Co-Curricular Activities :

1) Personality Development Seminar by ICFAI :

A personality development seminar was conducted in the month of August with an eye on the job market as well as conducting the interviews.

2) Job Placement Seminar:
An ICICI prudential sponsored seminar was held on job placement in insurance sector for our young students in the month of September.

3) Mind power enhancement seminar:
A seminar was held on the enhancement of mind power for M.Com. students so that they can cope with strains of life professionally and physically.
Many educative excursions were held during the year.
